This is a simple Halloween costume where you can take the idea to create hundreds of costumes. The concept is food. Take from this to create your child’s favorite food item. To start, you need a simple white onsie or sleeper. Take scissors and cut out pieces of felt. For the yellow felt, you are creating a fried egg or scrambled eggs, your choice. For the red felt, you are creating red pepper pieces. Now glue or sew the felt pieces onto the white fabric. The egg should be placed around the stomach area. The effect should be north to south, from the neck to thighs. Make this look like a burrito where the food is in the middle, only this food will be shown on the stomach.

Hooded Sweatshirt and Matching Pants (Any Color)
Felt (All Colors)
Zebra Halloween Costume:
Use a White hooded sweatshirt and matching pants. Cut out long strips of black felt strips. One or two is enough. This felt will be the zebra’s mane. Now, glue to the top of the hoodie part of the sweatshirt. You have just created the mane of the zebra Costume. Now, for the black and white stripes you want to cut out thin strips of black felt. These do not have to be the same as a zebra has multiple different lines that aren’t the same. Now, create your own pattern of zebra lines on the sweatshirt and matching pants. There is no rhyme or reason to creating the perfect zebra costume. Just have fun creating a zebra design that you love.
Puppy Dog Costume:
Use a tan hooded sweatshirt and matching pants for this DIY baby costume. Take black felt and cut out two puppy years. Now, glue or sew these two ears to either side of the hood. This creates the puppy’s ears. Now cut out some round circles on the black felt. Use these black spots to create your puppy. Glue the black spots onto different parts of the sweatshirt and matching pants. This is an easy project so don’t be afraid to get creative with your puppy. A princess costume is an easy way to create a DIY Halloween costume at home. First, rummage through your child’s toys to see if they have a toy crown, magic wand, and any other princess attire. If you do have any of the princess items, you’re in luck and will have a Fairy Princess costume in less than an hour. If not, you can create the crown using card stock. This is easy to do and you can even glue buttons, marbles, beads, or fake rhinestones onto the crown for an extra effect. Be creative with what you have around the house.
Check your daughter’s closet to see if she has a cute Princess dress. This could be a pink, white, silver, gold, or purple dress. The key is using what you have. The less money you spend, the more you have a budget friendly costume.
