Jan Brewer for Governor of Arizona? Does Someone Need Their Head Examined?

by bogbit

Is Arizona Governor’s race for a seat or to a retirement home? Arizona Governor Jan Brewer a big snore or is it something serious? With an election one and one-half months away I am beginning to wonder about this candidate.

Jan Brewer was born September 26th 1944, which makes her about 66. She has been Governor of Arizona since 2009, when former Governor Janet Napolitano left the state to become secretary of Homeland Security for Washington. In less than two years this Governor has made Arizona look like a battle ground.

Jan brought forth a bill on illegal immigration. The news around the globe touted this as tough new legislation. Most of my friends viewed it as another way for the police and immigration to harass the largest segment now residing in Arizona. Our former Governor would never have signed such a controversial issue into law. She would not have wasted our tax dollars so egregiously.

I watched in horror as the new Governor passed bills to get Arizona noticed. She seems to act in a manner that is not about the bettering of Arizona but more about what others want politically. If she is working with Senator John McCain they both need to retire. Their minds are not as sharp as they once were.

Everyone experiences some cognitive changes as we age. Sometimes things are wrong we cannot see. In view of Governor Jan Brewer’s recent actions, maybe we need to take a closer look. Jan Brewer has legalized carrying guns into bars, unless the bar owners post signs saying no weapons. On the LGBT community home front she repealed the domestic partner law our previous Governor signed that allowed partners to be recognized at the state level as dependents. Arizona was looking like a proactive state for such issues. To outsiders we must look as if we are going backward, even further back with guns in bars? Does anyone else see a slight issue here, say booze and uh I don’t know a gun? Then when you think she might be getting the hang of things she discontinued Children’s health care program for working poor. “Hey Jan, does poor mean anything to you?” Jan wants to increase State sales tax probably to pay for all that health care she dropped on the poor kids. She didn’t even let the ink dry before jumping on the band wagon to sue the Feds when they wanted to work on a universal health care act that would have included all Americans.

Then there is the matter of her son who sexually assaulted and kidnapped a young woman but was found legally insane. So, if the son has mental problems does this mean Mom does too? There is an old adage about the apple not falling far from the tree. Of course I would not want to pass judgment on Jan Brewer based upon her son’s actions. Let her record speak for itself.

Some say this woman is good for our economy and illegal immigration had to be dealt with. In my humble opinion she is a prejudiced individual with her own agenda. If she were aware Mexicans are the workers who harvest most of the food grown here, why then go after them? She shows little regard for what it costs a person to live here in Arizona, or else she would cut her budget and forgo a tax increase. We can see that she has convinced herself saving money on the backs of our children is good politics.

When I first saw her on television she presented very well. Once her mouth opened up that was another news story. Hearing her on the television, she sounds as if she has rocks in her mouth. Maybe she has some grossly unidentified disorder but something is not quite right here. She has difficulty getting the words out and she seems to falter many times when she is under pressure.

Jan Brewer has told us Arizona’s future never looked brighter. Who is she to gauge the future of a state she became Governor in without having been elected? She was the Secretary of State, which was high paid paper pushing position for a person with no qualifications. Add this to her lack of education and history of simplistic jobs. The only reason she is now governor, is ours left. Her spouse being a doctor does not qualify her for this seat.

Ever notice how haggard she looks? On a good day she resembles someone who has consumed too many cocktails. On a bad day she embodies everything that is wrong with the entire nation.

Governor Brewer is now up for re-election. I cannot see how any intelligent person would allow her to be in office one day longer than necessary. By her own admission, she entered the office without any experience. That might have been an understatement considering she cannot finish sentences and has difficulty answering the simplest questions. Are we to cast aside her own words in favor of her inability to govern safely using sound intellect and prudent judgment?
