Stepping out for morning press duties, Jennifer Garner was all smiles despite the rainy weather as she left her New York City hotel on Tuesday (October 5).
The former “Alias” actress was heading across town to make an appearance alongside Liza Minnelli on “The View”.
On the career front, Miss Garner recently shot the Jim Field Smith directed comedy titled “Butter”.
Co-starring Hugh Jackman, Ashley Greene and Olivia Wilde, the movie “is set in the Midwest U.S., where an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town’s annual contest.”
Last week Jen Garner attended Variety’s 2nd Annual Power Of Women Luncheon in Beverly Hills, CA.
There the actress was honored for her work with “Save the Children”, a literacy program that aims to help impoverished children both in the United States and around the world. Garner was named the artistic ambassador for the non-profit org. earlier his year. In addition to its goal of literacy, “Save the Children” also seeks to educate kids about healthy food choices.
As for other honorees, the deserving tributes went to Amy Adams (for her work on behalf of The Ghetto Film School), Katie Holmes (Dizzy Feet Foundation), Diane Lane (Heifer International), and Eva Mendes (Art of Elysium).
Stepping out for yet another charity-related appearance, Jennifer Garner attended the 6th Annual Pink Party on Saturday, September 25th.
Held at Drai’s nightclub, the “Valentine’s Day” actress tended to hosting duties as she turned up in a theme-appropriate pink frock.
Also joining in on the action were Nikki Reed, Michelle Trachtenberg, Denise Richards, Brooke Burke (with David Charvet) and Julie Benz.
As for the event, the Pink Party was founded by Elyse Walker to raise awareness about gynecologic and breast cancers and to support the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute.
