Jesse James is seen in a recent video playing a bit too rough with his “beloved dog Cinnabun. The person taking the video seems to be coaxing James by giving him direction and James is following through.
This short video gives a quick insight into why Cinnabun may have run away when he did a while back. TMZ says that “some people will say this is the way you toughen up a pit bull, while others will call it inhumane.” I go for the latter of the two. I am sure I will be corrected by dog trainers out there, but I see no benefit for treating your dog this way.
James has what looks like a chew toy for Cinnabun hanging off a basketball hoop on the end of a rope. Cinnabun is playing with this when James goes over and picks up the rope, suspending Cinnabun off the ground. Cinnabun will not let go and this is where the man behind the video says, “shake him”. James starts shaking the dog on the end of the rope until he lets go.
Cinnabun was suspended in mid air with this rope by holding on by his teeth. I am not a dog trainer, but this does not look healthy for the dogs teeth and jaw. The shaking cannot be good for Cinnabun either.

What happened to the good old fashion game of “fetch”? James has not moved his best friend to Texas as of yet, but according to TMZ, he is getting ready to.
Cinnabun ran away from James last year and when he was returned to James he was 23 pounds lighter than when he left. The dog looks healthy, but the way James is playing with him is not what I would call regular every day dog play.
We have gotten quick windows into the personality of James ever since his sex scandal broke wide open. We saw his pictures pretending to be a Nazi, showing a side of James that many found offensive, as seen in Huffington Post. We heard some of the things that he told his mistresses about Sandra Bullock, making us dislike him all the more. Things such as he and Bullock were living apart and not together and that their marriage was over while Sandra was away filming a movie, according to People Magazine.
This new Cinnabun video to surface is one of these windows. “You can tell a lot about a person the way they treat their animals. Abuse comes in many forms and although the shaking of Cinnabun on the end of a rope in mid air is not an horrendous act of abusing an animal, it still is abusing the power you have over the dog.
According to the website, Pet Abuse.com, “Abusing an animal is a way for a human to find power, joy, and fulfillment”. The video James and his unseen companion made seemed to be for entertainment and as an animal lover, I found it hard to watch.
