Have you heard about the new fashion line named Jlehsiek? It is one of the newest fashion lines that will be featured in 2011’s fashion week line-up. Designer Keishel Williams has created a line of sophisticated pieces customized to be tailored to your size; a fashion line for women of all shapes and sizes. I found interest when I found out that she would be previewing two collections on Saturday, December 18th, 2010 from 10PM to 4PM at a venue called 1084 located on Fulton Street in Brooklyn between Claver Place and Franklin Avenue.
Stephanie: So I hear that you will be displaying two collections from your line you call Jlehsiek.
Keishel: Yes, I will be displaying my carnival 2011 collection entitled “Masquerade” and give a preview to
my Fall 2011 line entitled “Sunday in the Park.”
Stephanie : Where did you get your inspiration for these collections?
Keishel: I personally love masquerades so I decided to do a carnival line centered around that. And “Sunday in the Park” was actually inspired by an 1800s painting by Georges-Pierre Seurat entitled “Un dimanche après-midi à l’Île de la Grande Jatte – 1884” which means “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte”.
“Sunday in the Park” is a contemporary version of that time.
Stephanie: Sounds intriguing. What can we expect from “Sunday in the Park?”
Keishel: It is a line created for les affaire with looks for the upper echelon of society. Very feminine
styles. They’ll be a lot of tailored jackets and more in color palettes of gray, peach for that
somber, relaxed look.
Stephanie : what is the price range for your collections?
Keishel: “Masquerade” is an average end line created to be sold for $60 and up. “Sunday In the Park” is an high end line for $300 and up.
Stephanie: How can people interested in knowing more about your fashions contact you?
Keishel: I have a website. Visit www.jlehsiek.com for more information or come to my fundraiser at
1084 on Fulton Street between Claver Place and Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, NY where my
designs will be displayed for a preview to Fashion Week 2011. Tickets are $15 in advance and
more at the door. For tickets and info on this event, call 917-535-6738.
Stephanie: Sounds wonderful Keishel. I look forward to seeing your pieces, maybe they’ll be something
there for me.
Keishel: Because my designs are tailored to your size, this line was created for all types of woman.
I customize my designs based on your personal physique. So don’t be afraid to come and check
me out. Can’t wait to see you there!
2011 is right around the corner. While some people have personal desires of how they would like to improve their look, there are some still trying to figure out what exactly they would like that look to be. Is it more color? Less dullness and more brightness? Less pants and more skirts? More revealing styles and less cover-ups? The possibilities are limitless. Visit www.jlehsiek.com and maybe you’ll find the look that screams out you there.
