Judge Judy has unresolved anger issues; this is so obvious. Have you seen how pissed off Judge Judy seems simply because there are litigants in her courtroom? Really!
Judge Judy behaves angrily just because there are two litigants facing her. Right off the bat, she speaks in a very tart, angry tone to the plaintiff, blasting off questions in a hostile voice. Has this angry woman forgotten that it’s because of these plaintiffs and defendants, that she cleans up with something like $18 million per year?
She should get down on her little knees and hands and thank these despicable people for making her so filthy rich (and yes, I’m jealous! I sure wish I could make millions of dollars angrily spewing my rage at people I don’t even know!).
Okay, yes, we all know that some of Judge Judy’s litigants are total lowlifes. I love when she lambasts the deadbeat dad who’s fathered four kids with four different women. And I love when Judge Judy hollers and insults the 22-year-old, never-married woman, with three kids, who’s gotten drunk in front of them.
But come on, people, many of the litigants are just like YOU AND ME; they have found a reason to sue someone. Doesn’t mean these particular individuals are lowlifes. If YOU decided to sue someone for damaging your car, for instance (which is a common lawsuit in Judge Judy’s court), would this make you a scumbag? Would this make you deserving of Judge Judy’s inappropriate insults and vile attitude towards you?
If you lent someone money and want that money back, does this make you a piece of filth who deserves to get slammed on national TV by Miss Perfect?
We don’t need a master’s degree in psychology to see what’s going on here: Judge Judy has unresolved emotional and anger issues, and she takes them out on even THE MOST INNOCENT litigants. Many of these litigants are clean-cut, articulate and simply using America’s small-claims court system. This does not make them dirty rats.
I myself once got a small-claims court case in progress (a publisher owed me $300 for articles I wrote for his paper). He paid up before it went to court. But theoretically, he could have ignored the process and we could have ended up in Judge Judy’s palace. And she would have proceeded (not succeeded!) to berate me – all because I DARE take someone to small claims court!
Of course, I would have refused to allow Miss Perfect to continuously interrupt me and cut me off like she does with her litigants. I would have continued speaking my case in my strong, confident voice, despite her temper tantrums to get me to shut up, and I would NEVER let this little hag intimidate me with her shrill, sometimes-shrieking pipes.
It’s amazing that even when it’s obvious that a litigant will lose the case, they don’t blast Judge Judy back. I’m wondering if litigants who seem very assertive are turned down. Or maybe they’re given financial incentives by the show’s producers to keep cool while Judge Judy bashes them?
I mean, really, she’ll tear into people no matter how polite, calm, clean-cut and professional they’re behaving! I’m not talking loser scumbags here who rip people off or bust their girlfriend’s jaw or allow their pit bulls to bite neighbor kids. She’s capable of tearing into a nun who’s suing a gang member for kicking her in the shins!
Judge Judy often tells people — people she doesn’t even know — that she’s SMOTTAH than they are. Yeah, Judge Judy, the New York accent hardly makes you sound refined or classy. Where does JJ get off telling one litigant after another that she’s “a lot smottah” than they are? Sure, this is obvious in many cases, when the litigant has done stupid things.
But Queen Bigmouth will spew this egotistical affirmation out to college students or middle-aged businesspeople who’ve BARELY gotten out a few sentences about their case, and who have NOT in any way indicated that they are short on intelligence! Judge Judy obviously has a compulsive need to remind herself that she’s not as full of shortcomings as she deep-down believes she is, so she gets an ego-boosting fix by announcing at random litigants that she’s a lot smarter than them.
More than once, Judge Judy has indicated her ability to beat up a litigant. Once she said to a strapping man, “If it was legal for me to wipe that smirk off your face, I’d do it.” Yeah, I’d love to see how Judge Judy would respond if one day while walking down the street she saw one of her ex-litigants, whom she brow-beat, walking towards her. She’d take off in the opposite direction like a mouse running from a cat!
Judge Judy feels tough only when her big bailiff is standing there to bodyguard her. And she is not smottah than me just because she’s filthy rich. But if you want to believe this, then you may as well believe that Taylor Swift is a lot smottah than Miss High-and-Almighty because the singer makes more money! Some drug dealers make more money than Judge Judy; does that mean THEY’RE a lot smottah too?
In order for JJ to behave the way she does, she has to be like this and feel the rage in real life; it isn’t just for ratings. BTW, I can’t help but hear Judge Judy all the time; I’ve been living with my parents to help both recover from major surgery, and my mother faithfully tunes in to the witch. Try to be happy for once, Miss Judy. You’re obviously in a lot of pain.
