What is the world coming to if Justin Bieber disrespects the police? As Justin was goofing around with his staff backstage before a concert in Baltimore, Maryland, he was throwing water-balloons and happened to hit a state trooper below the belt, soaking him.
Bieber “Practiced” His Water Balloon Tosses Before Hitting Police
A source on MSNBC states the prepubescent pop star was “practicing” backstage aiming at people’s crotches before hitting a member of the police in charge of crowd control at his concert. Soon after, Justin retreated from the scene, leaving his bodyguard to deal with the damages. The bodyguard reportedly was able to talk the state trooper out of slapping hand cuffs on Bieber.
Justin Bieber Took Part in “Inappropriate Behavior”
A police spokesman in Maryland said while Justin’s actions were in the realm of “inappropriate behavior,” no action would be taken on the teen pop sensation.
That’s the celebrity world. Does Justin Bieber now join a long list of superstars who manage to avoid arrest or legal ramifications of some sort?
While throwing a water balloon at the police isn’t the most violent offense, it would have been a nice gesture on Justin’s part if he apologized to the state trooper. If Justin allegedly just turned his back and left his bodyguard to work his magic, that’s not setting a great example to his fans or society as a whole.
An Apology to Police Would Have Set a Different Tone
Justin Bieber is still young an likely to engage in “boyish horseplay,” but a simple apology to police over the water balloon incident – below the gun belt no less – would have made all the difference.
Hey, at the least say “thank you” to police for avoiding an arrest any other citizen would have potentially been subject to.
