E!’s, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premiered Sunday. It was as entertaining as ever to watch the Kardashian clan live their ridiculous lives. This premiere mainly focused on where Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami left off and Kim’s new house.
Kourtney and Scott
If you have watched any part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians or Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami then you know that Scott and Kourtney have a complicated relationship. Some might even say that it is unhealthy. They fight, they make up, they fight… are you starting to get it? Now that they have baby Mason, the situation is more complicated.
The episode begins with Scott and Kourtney living apart. Kourtney is staying in Khloe and Lamar’s mansion. The problem is that Khloe hates Scott with a passion, making life difficult for Kourtney when Scott wants to see the baby. Khloe even goes as far as declaring that Scott cannot drive up her driveway. On one hand, her selfishness is understandable after all the chaos Scott has put everyone through, but on the other hand she is making life harder for Kourtney.
Kourtney and Khloe cannot reach an agreement on the subject. In the end, Kourtney decides that it would be best if she moves into Kim’s new house for a while. Kim dislikes Scott, but she does not go to the extremes that Khloe does to keep him out of her life. Kim is more passive and lets Kourtney make her own decisions without a fight.
Kim’s New House
The most entertaining part of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiere was Kim’s new house. Kim wanted everything to stay perfect. Her mother, Kris, wanted to throw a housewarming party. At first Kim is not receptive to the housewarming idea, but her mother soon convinces her it will be a calm, fun event.
The evening of the housewarming party arrives, and Kim has the house all set up so that her house does not get destroyed. It is not long before things get out of control, though. Kim starts going crazy over every little crumb, spill, and footprint. She starts to have an anxiety attack instead of trying to enjoy her party.
After playing maid and searching through the house, Kim finds a spill on one of her white pillows. This sends her over the edge and up to her room to sulk and scrub. Bruce comes up and tries to calm her down. Although Kim is upset, Bruce is able to get her back downstairs where the party is.
All of a sudden, Kim has a total turn around as she smashes a cupcake in her mom’s face, starting an adorable mother-daughter food fight. Finally, Kim is having fun! It seems like a really difficult thing for her to do. As annoying as it was to watch Kim be so crazy about her house, it was hilarious at the same time.
There is something so endearing about the Kardashians that makes the show so watchable. Maybe it is the drama, maybe it is the tight family bond, or maybe it is a combination of everything. All I know is I will be back for more next Sunday!
