Pictured Rocks National Park draws thousands of tourists a year. This week it drew the ever famous ” Kid Rock” and crew for filming of his new music video.
Kid Rock a Michigan native chose Pictured Rocks and a location in Detroit to film the video for his new song ” Born Free.” Filming was done on Miner’s Beach and Miner’s River. The footage included the shoreline, cliffs, the river, and Lake Superior. A helicopter with a camera mounted on the side was used to film. All of the filming was done in one afternoon and Kid Rock flew out that same afternoon.
The song “Born Free” has recently been heard as the intro music for Major League Baseball’s Divisional Series.
The “Born Free” CD will be sold starting on November 16Th.
Pictured Rocks with it’s picturesque views is best known for it’s ever changing cliffs due to the wind, ice, and waves.
