While searching for places that sell chili cheeseburgers in Kansas, I came across a blog called “Dining with Denise.” Since I was searching for chili cheeseburgers in Kansas, the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers came up as one of the search results.
You guessed it; I clicked. Once looking at the picture, I thought I was going to hurl. The thought of donuts as a bun for a cheeseburger, yuck. The picture was gross enough in itself.
From what I gather from reading this blog Denise will probably give it a whirl to see how it tastes. She states she has tried some of the other novelty foods at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas.
While we are thinking about going this year, I may have to find this food stand just to get a really good look at these Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers up close and personal. As for trying one, I highly doubt it. Then again, I may have to give it a shot just to see how they taste and tell any one who wants to know how they are.
There is one thing that came to mind when I first started reading this blog post; Paula Deen. I think she had done a similar burger on her show. With that thought, I had to do another search to make sure of this.
It’s a good thing I remembered watching that show because Paula Deen’s Donut Burger showed up in the top 10 searches on the first page of Google. The number one search was a YouTube video of the show I mentioned above.
The one from the Paula Deen Show I seen this cheeseburger on uses eggs as part of the cheeseburger. I thought that episode was gross as well.
I kind of wonder if someone decided to make these from her show or came up with their own version. I may have to ask that question when and if we go to the Kansas State Fair and if I remember to find this food vendor.
If you are going to be at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kansas, are you going to try the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers?
