Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4th. It is believed that he disappeared from the Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon. His step-mother, Terri Horman, claims that she and Kryon attended a science fair at his school that morning and that she last saw him as he headed down the school hallway to his classroom.
Despite an intensive investigation, Kyron is still missing months after he disappeared. Police have not released information about any specific person of interest in this crime. They have not made any arrests. The public is left to wonder how a young boy could disappear from a public school without anyone seeing what happened to him.
Kyron Horman’s School Opens Soon
Skyline Elementary School opens on September 7th for the new school year. Will Kyron be found before then? Will he be back at school attending classes with his friends? Or will he still be missing and in the thoughts of his parents and the whole nation? The children who attended school with Kyron must be feeling very sad at the disappearance of their friend. Our nation needs to do better than this. There must be ways to ensure kids are safe and to find them immediately if they go missing.
A New Location for Kyron Horman’s Wall of Hope
The “Wall of Hope” at Kyron’s school is about to be moved. The school year will start without this poignant reminder that Kyron is still missing. Volunteers are asked to meet at Skyline Elementary School on Sunday 8/29 at 8:30 a.m. to help move the display to a building a few doors down.
Kyron Horman’s Mom, Desiree Young, Calls for Terri Horman to Talk to Police
Kyron’s mom, Desiree Young, is speaking out and keeping Kyron in the eye of the media. She is also telling Kyron’s step-mom, Terri Horman, that she needs to talk to the investigators and tell them where Kyron is, notes the Oregonian.
Desiree said “We honestly believe that he’s alive and that Terri had planned this for awhile and manipulated the situation to take Kyron,” reports the Oregonian. Kyron’s parents are hopeful that he is still alive. They must be very angry too, that someone out there has information about where Kyron is.
September 9th: Kyron Horman’s Birthday
Kyron will turn age 8 on September 9th. Normally September is a happy time for kids. They start school and see their friends again. And a birthday is a time to celebrate. But where is Kyron? Who has him and will they celebrate his birthday?
Kyron’s birthday will be a sad marker in the investigation into his disappearance. This child should be home for the school year’s start and he should celebrate his birthday. The tears will be flowing on Kyron’s birthday by his parents and all who know him, and a lot of strangers who are hoping he is found too.
What Went Wrong?
What went wrong on the day Kyron went missing? And how can that problem be fixed so other kids aren’t kidnapped out of school or whatever scenario was involved in Kyron’s disappearance. It is tragic that there is not a trace of evidence that gives firm evidence of who took Kyron.
