I must start off by saying that parts of Big Brother Season 12 Episode 24 were so boring, that I actually wondered what Rachel and Brendon were doing in the Jury house. Hey, I know, I am not fans of either of those two and am having a mental relapse, but the episode was just plain slow. However, by the end it got so much better.
The show started out with the Power of Veto competition and it was a very big one. With Enzo and Ragan both on the block, they were the ones who needed to win it the most. Because there are only five people left in the house, everyone was allowed to participate. The object of the game was to figure out the combo-name of two players from the clues given by the giant life size talking clam and grab the CD with that name. Lane who became confused at what the combination of Matt and Rachel would be, selected the wrong CD and was eliminated first. Hayden was the next one out and then Britney. This left it between Ragan and Enzo. The brains and the brawn who had never won a POV competition before. So who wanted it more? Well the two of them had to battle downhill to get the winning Brendrew CD and Enzo was the winner. Ragan knew that Enzo’s POV win could seal his fate and send him off to the jury house so he was beyond upset. He was so mad that he even through his CD at the clam and it bounced and hit Enzo in the head. It didn’t help that Enzo was bragging in his very New Jersey machismo way. Ragan was not in the mood and said “leave me alone right now” a few times. I feel bad for Ragan but hey, it is a tough game and when you get down to the final five, you have to want it more than the next person. And Enzo wanted it more.
Consequently, I really wish Ragan had won because Enzo is just wanted around the house like he was won the half million dollars already. I like Enzo but seriously, give it a rest. The meow meow needs to shut it up. Alone in a room, Ragan said how heartbroken the loss made him and that he had given his all to the game. Meanwhile, Enzo said his win felt like the Superbowl. All the while, I am wondering how Rachel and Kathy are fairing in the jury house. And anybody who knows how I feel about Rachel, knows that I must be bored if I am at all concerned about anything the ousted red-head is doing.
Now that it is obvious that Enzo will be taking himself off the nomination block, the next question is who will Lane put up in place of his Brigade bro. In talking with Lane, Britney tells him that she will take him to the final two and that Ragan wouldn’t take him. Hayden and Enzo are discussing how instead of kicking out Ragan, that the smart power move would be to send Britney to the jury house to break up the Lane and Britney alliance.
Punishment #2 is about to be handed down. You remember when Lane opened Pandora’s Box on Sunday, he inflicted the house with three punishments. The second punishment is a funny one. For the next 12 hours, all of the house guests have to wear a sock puppet and use it every time they speak. Anyone who doesn’t use the puppet will force the entire house to become have nots for the rest of the week.
The funny thing about the sock puppets are that they are modeled after the final five. Britney’s puppet has bedroom eyes and long blonde hair. Hayden’s puppet has his signature hair. Enzo and Lane’s puppets have hats like their owners and Ragan’s puppet has a bow tie like the one in Ragan’s Big Brother picture. Britney has fun with her puppet and seems to really enjoy the punishment. The Brigade are laying it on thick and actually dissing Ragan with their socks because he is being a sore loser. Ragan is out on the hammock alone with his sock puppet. He is once again crying. He likens the puppet to the ball Wilson that Tom Hanks had in the movie Cast Away. Poor Ragan.
Up in the HOH room, Britney, Lane and Enzo are talking golf. Enzo doesn’t get golf. Britney mentions how he calls the golf clubs sticks and Enzo is asking all sorts of questions about the game. Can we vote for a winner already, this is getting depressing?
Next Britney wants to bring in the big trash can to clean up the kitchen because since Kathy and Brendon are gone, the house is a mess. After Britney finishes cleaning and tossing things, Hayden comes in and hauls out the trash can. I guess that was he lone contribution after Britney spent all that time cleaning up the kitchen alone. Hey Britney, Hayden didn’t have to do that. J It’s time for punishment three and everyone is paranoid. This time the final five must stop everything that they are doing and start to dance any time they hear music in the next 12 hours. Right away there is music and they start to boogie. The next scenes are hilarious as you see the guys in the pool when the music comes on. They get up out of the pool and start to jam. Britney is in bed and has to get up to dance a shimmy. At one point Enzo is in the shower and starts to bust a move. Ragan doesn’t think they are any material for a Big Brother Dance troupe and I have to agree with him because most of them are horrid dancers. Enzo is actually pretty good. He does have rhythm. However, poor little Hayden couldn’t dance himself out of a room with his two left feet. I am glad he is cute because at a dance club, that would be the only thing that he would have going for him. The music is classical the next time and Hayden and Britney do their own version of Ballroom. At 3:49a.m the dancing is not as much fun, but soon the group is finish with their last punishment.
Lane asks Hayden if he is okay with going up. He tells Hayden that he doesn’t trust Enzo because Enzo may try to send Britney out of the house. Hayden doesn’t tell Lane that he wants Britney gone too. Lane and Britney have one of their talks and Britney tells Lane to quit trying to put her up because he likes Hayden better. Britney then tells Lane that everybody likes Hayden and that if it were Lane and Hayden in the final two, then Lane would not win. Lane gets mad and tells Britney he has friends too. She tells him that he does but not more than Hayden. Britney is throwing salt in everybody’s game tonight but she is also playing this game very well. I have to admit, I didn’t think she would make it this far. She may be convincing enough to make it to the finals. Lane tells Britney to go back to sleep because he doesn’t want to hear what she has to say, but in the diary room he admits that Britney had some very valid points.
When it is time for the Veto meeting, Enzo takes himself off the chopping block and Lane has to pick a replacement. He starts off by saying what an amazing group of people are left in the house. Yeah sure Lane, stop trying to sugarcoat this pal, who do you pick to go up on the block? Oh my goodness, Lane chooses his Brigade brother Hayden to go up and not Britney. Looks like Enzo and Hayden will not get to back door Britney this time. Britney says that Lane came through for her and the Brigade continues to crack. Lane reveals that the best chance for him to win is to have Britney by his side. Ommmm Britney and not a Brigade Bro huh Lane, wow, Enzo was right to worry about the Britney and Lane alliance. Can’t wait to see what happens on Thursday. Happy Watching Folks!
