In Sacramento we love our movies. We have a movie festival as well as many movies being filmed in the area. In the Sacramento area we have not one but two Movie Memorabilia Stores. We will take a look at both of these stores and see what makes them different.
Stage Nine Entertainment
The first store is Stage Nine Entertainment in Old Town Folsom. Stage Nine Entertainment is located at 717 Sutter Street, Folsom, California. Stage Nine Entertainment is smaller then the other store. Stage Nine Entertainment main emphasis is on movies though it does feature other entertainment memorabilia. The main memorabilia besides movie memorabilia is Disney memorabilia or Disneyana. They do have some unique Disney items such a DVDs signed by Imagineers about the history of some popular rides. Being a big Disney fan II regretted not buying the DVD when I had the chance. They have autographs, pictures, and other common movie memorabilia. They also occasionally have special guests and signings. Occasionally they have a few movie prop pieces as well. They also feature movie related merchandise such as director chairs. They also have a good selection of candy.
Besides having a simple store they also have a theater in the back. They have plays which are always changing. You should check to find out what plays they will have as they are reasonably priced at around $15 and done well. The theater also is small giving you good seats.
The other movie memorabilia store in the Sacramento area is in Old Town Sacramento. Stage Nine is located at 102 K Street, Sacramento, California. Stage Nine is much larger then Stage Nine Entertainment. They have a much larger prop selection in “The Vault.” They are the only Northern California gallery for many movie studios such as Disney and Warner Brothers. They have a large selection of art work. They have everything that Stage Nine Entertainment has and more except for a theater. They have lots of toys with a large emphasis on “Star Wars.” They have tons of art. They also have many autographs. While they have tons of art they also have many photographs and posters too that are a cheaper alternative. Stage Nine also has celebrity singing at various times. You should call to find out when they will be having the next signing. Stage Nine is surprisingly large. I have been to smaller movie memorabilia stores in the LA area.
The two Sacramento movie memorabilia are sure to have something for any movie buff. While Stage Nine is much bigger Stage Nine Entertainment is worth stopping by if it is closer to you. Whichever one you visit you will be glad you did.
