I’ve recently looked at a value phone for a quick and cheap replacement for the blackberry that broke. While looking I came upon the LG Optimus T smart phone running on the Android OS. Here you will find my review of this phone based on the information I have read and experienced.
The LG Optimus T released for T-Mobile phone services is a value line phone costing only $29.99 with two year contract and rebate. This low price garners it much appeal to the populace as it’s one of the cheapest available smart phones.
Features and Flash
The LG Optimus T has features not often found in value phones, but its lack of flash capabilities is a considerable drawback for many. Because of this phones lack of flash capabilities many internet based apps will not work. Some of the apps you may find unavailable include streaming FLV (Flash videos), flash games, and some banner ads. While the LG Optimus T is a great value driven phone it lacks some of the better qualities of more expensive phones.
Built in camera
The LG Optimus T has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which is nearly half the resolution of the iPhone and almost one third of the resolution of the Nokia N8. The LG Optimus T does not feature a flash LED for night time pictures either. For those considering purchasing a phone for taking pictures the LG Optimus T may not be the best option.
Standard phone service
You will find the LG Optimus T is much more than adequate for regular phone services and a few android based apps. The LG Optimus T features a touch screen making all the essentials easily accessed. Some of the other features include wifi, 3G connectivity, and the android OS.
The screen size and processor
The Optimus measures just short of 5 inches in length thus the screen is not very large and the processor in the Optimus T is not nearly as powerful as those found in other Android phones. However if you’re looking for a reasonable smartphone that won’t break your bank, then the Optimus T may be just the thing you need.
• * Wifi connectivity
• * Touchscreen
• * Touch based Qwerty keyboard
• * Blue Tooth connectivity
• * Low price
• * Built in camera
• * No Flash
• * Slower than average processor
• * Low resolution camera
• * No night time flash
With 6 pros and only 4 cons it’s fairly plain to see that the pros outweigh the cons making the LG Optimus a great phone for a great price. This kind of value is not often found in the market and is a very important factor when considering new phones. Though it lacks some features the LG Optimus T is priced accordingly and should be considered by anyone in need of a cheap alternative to the other Android phones on the market.
