Sometime you wonder why things happen and why is it happening to you. On Sunday, Elder Rapunzel Carter asked each member in the congregation to write down these words, “I choose praise instead of massaging my problem”.
Mmmm, I thought, when you massage your problem, it’s like massaging your body it makes it feel good and you might want to stay a while. It is the same with your problems, you talk about them too much and they stay with you. After I wrote what she said down, I began praising God. I couldn’t wait. Early Sunday morning, I begin asking God for wisdom regarding some situations in my life. In addition, God answered me in less than an hour.
My husband had not been feeling well Saturday night I was up most of the night until very early Sunday morning. Before I went to bed on Saturday, I laid my clothes out so I would not be late from church. I knew if I could get to church, I would have my answers. God is so good; He gave me strength to go to church, because He knew that is where I wanted to be. However, if I had chosen to stay home, I probably would have missed the answer to my prayers.
It is so important that I choose life, and choosing to serve God is life. So many things change around us, we let it change us. Have you ever heard the song” This World Is Not My” Home by Albert E. Brumley, he said I am just passing through, just up in glory land we’ll live eternally. The saints on every hand are shouting victory. Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from heaven’s shore.
Thank God, that He allows us to make decisions regarding our life. Life is choice driven. What choices are you making that will be a part of you for the rest of your life?
