Getting his career back in full swing now that he’s out of prison, Lil Wayne has lined up a much-anticipated appearance on “Saturday Night Live”.
According to THR, the “Lollipop” lyricist will be joined by Eminem for a five-minute performance of “No Love” on December 18th.
Making for Wayne’s first post-jail TV gig, the episode of the long-running NBC show will be hosted by actor Jeff Bridges.
The last time Bridges appeared on SNL was 27 years ago with brother Beau Bridges – which makes for the longest gap between first and second appearances on the comedy show.
After spending the last eight months in prison, Lil Wayne was ready to party following his release earlier this month.
After trips to Arizona, Louisiana and Nevada, the “Mrs. Officer” rapper was welcomed back to Miami, Florida with a huge bash thrown by Cash Money Records on Sunday night (November 7).
Of course, Weezy’s guest list was full of top-name celebrities including the always colorful Nicki Minaj along with Canadian rapper Drake.
At the festivities, Wayne told MTV News, “I just wanna thank everybody. Not only MTV fans, but the fans across the whole world. Most of all, my family. I couldn’t do it without them and I would never do it without them.”
