We just thought it might be a good time to remind people of the need for volunteers in Carroll Gardens. No matter how busy you are, there is always something you can do to help improve the neighborhood.
Friends of Carroll Park can always use extra help in all kinds of different ways. Opportunities include (but are not limited to):
Adopt a Garden – FOCP will supply tools if you supply the time and effort. “This is a great activity to do with your kids” and it’s free! Plus you get the added bonus of helping make your neighborhood beautiful! Really, a great experience for children.
Gardening in Carroll Park – Carroll Park shares a gardener with other parks in the district, and the majority of work that is done in the park is in fact done by volunteers. Be that volunteer! Just like with adopt a garden, you get to see your work visibly improve the neighborhood.
Fundraising – FOCP does a great deal around the neighborhood, and these projects cost money. Help out by helping to raise money, cleaning supplies, gardening supplies, whatever.
Special Events – FOCP is constantly putting on special events, such as the Kids’ Concerts over the summer, and these events present a need for even more “friends” to help out.
Join Friends of Carroll Park – Attend a FOCP meeting and lend your ideas, creativity, leadership, or enthusiasm! There is always a need.
