The Lost Season 6 DVD is now out to tempt fans again. Lost Season 6 DVD buzz is big, although the new release is not the only major item out today for Losties. If they’re not satisfied with purchasing the final episodes, they can get the entire collection in one big box on Blu-Ray. Although it includes episodes they might already own on DVD, fanatics might still want them all together in one fell swoop. But while The Complete Collection has everything from the show and more, the Lost Season 6 DVD just includes the final act.
For those who already own Seasons 1-5, they might just want to complete their collection with the last year. Usually, they wait until December to release Lost DVDs, in order to build up anticipation for the next season. But, as all fans know, there is no next season ahead.
As such, fanatics can cap off their library with the Lost Season 6 DVD. Inside the five discs, they can watch the sideways universe scenes again, knowing full well what they are this time. They can also relive the reign of terror of the Man in Black, Jack’s rise toward faith, Desmond’s latest mind-bending journey, the various tragic deaths — and those still-divisive final minutes.
As for extra features, the Lost Season 6 DVD has the usual collection of deleted scenes, bloopers and behind-the-scenes material. The cast and crew reflect on the series and their last days of work, though they likely don’t have many new clues to give. There are also audio commentaries on episodes like “LA X” and “Ab Aeterno,” plus a sure-to-be-debated track for the panned “Across The Sea” flashback.
But a key selling point of the Lost Season 6 DVD has already been leaked. The 12-minute epilogue segment “The New Man In Charge” was put on the Internet a few weeks ago, spoiling Hurley and Ben’s time as island leaders. Many bloggers have already analyzed the new clues and answers, although they can now go back to check again.
Those who buy this DVD and/or The Complete Collection are being drawn back to the island, right after they finally got away. Just like the island wasn’t done with the Oceanic 6, it isn’t done for the fans who still can’t figure out what it was. Even those who hated the finale might be tempted to return, unless they truly think their six years was wasted after those last moments.
Even after buying the Lost Season 6 DVD, followers still have one more event to look forward to. On Sunday night, the last season is up for some final Emmy Awards, as its biggest parting gifts might still be to come. Starting today, the audience can go over the end again, and remind themselves why it was Emmy-worthy — or not.
