This is one of the simplest ideas to use your beach treasures.
Decide if your going to make a wreath or picture frame or both!
You will need cardboard, glue a paintbrush stapler and your treasures.
From Cardboard cut a wreath shape or a picture frame. For a wreath, you will need to cut a large circular shaped donut, the size should depend on how make treasures you have. For a picture frame use a ruler to correctly measure the size. Decide n what size picture you want to frame, and then cut your bardboard 1-2 inches larger on all sides. The extra 1-2 inches will be the area you decorate. You will also need 2 pieces of carboard the same size for a picture frame. one will be the back and will be solid. The front piece will need a smaller rectangle cut from it. Leaving 1-2 inches all the way around making the frame. For example, if you are making a 4×6 frame, which is the most commen sized photograph, you will need your front and back pieces to be 6×8. Then out of one measure in the 4×6 and cut the frame out leaving equil amounts all the way around. This will make a 1 inch frame. For a 2 inch frame you will need pieces that are 8×12 and cut your center piece 4×6 leaving equil amounts all the way around.
Next paint your cardboard a base color. A blue looks pretty, to represent the ocean.
Then using a paint brush spread glue quickly all over your cardboard, For the picture frame, only do the front piece. You will need to work quickly to avoid the glue from drying. Spread it a little thick, Then sprinkle sand over the entire thing. You do not have to cover the entire thing with sand. Perhaps your picture frame is ging to have sand on the bottom but not on the top ect. Your creativity comes into play here.
Once the entire cardboard is compleatly dry you are ready for the next step. Decorating. First decide how you want to arrange your beach treasures. Then using strong glue, glue them down. Let them dry compleatly.
While your frame is drying, you need to make a back to help it stand up. Cut from another piece of cardboard a spatula shaped peice. Its length depends on the size of your frame. It should be 2-3 inches wide at the narrowest and 4-5 inches wide at the bottom. Bend the bottom piece flat to help support your frame. Be careful not to over bend it as this will cause the frame to fall down. Then staple the narrow side to the middle to top of your frame back. This is the back of the picture frame.
When the frame is all done drying you need to put it together. You can staple the corners leaving the top open, Or you can glue 3 sides of the frame closed. Leaving the top open to slip a picture in and out. And your done.
Display a photograph of the beach in your new beach frame.
