As more people are listening to music digitally, it seems as though the CD booklet is being forgotten since less people are buying CDs in record bars. Not too long ago, however, the CD booklet (and previously, the record album cover) was a very essential part of marketing musicians.

The tray card is basically what you see at the back of the CD case and normally has the track listing. Some artists will put a design on the opposite side of the card, too.

While there aren’t as many people buying actual CDs these days as they prefer the ease of buying digital copies of songs, it still doesn’t mean that CD booklet is completely obsolete.
