Any marriage must have two people who fundamentally believe in the same thing.
Having said that, the marriage that has the most going for it is a marriage that is founded in the Love of God in Jesus Christ.
I say this because a marriage of two believers of God in Jesus will be given Joy as they abide in their Love and Truth.
Others may argue that you don’t need to believe in Jesus or God in heaven to have a good marriage, and they would be correct but that takes us back to paragraph one.
And while it’s true that two of the same fundamental belief, whether it’s to believe in God in Jesus or believe they don’t exist, still, the two who believe in God in Jesus will be given Joy in the Lord.
Along with Joy, believers in God in Jesus will also know more of kindness, gentleness, patience, love (Agape Love – only comes from God;) maturity, peace and faith. [Galatians 5:22-23]
Within those we can know more confidence, certainty, assurance, stability, purpose and direction.
Safeguarding all of that and sharing it with others is made possible through an increase of discerned knowledge and understanding!
Life’s problems are surmountable and eliminated as we grow into the Mind of Christ Jesus. [I Cor. 2:16]
Life together is trusting, cherishing, loving, close and stimulating.
But…How do we know this wonderful mate we want so much to love?
The answer – by his words. You see a True Christian is a person who “work out your salvation daily” this means they Are not only talking the talk, but they are walking the walk too!
Hear the talk: To do anything in life involves a choice to act upon. What we choose between is to continue down one road which causes harm to someone, maybe even myself; or find a loving and truthful alternative by way of the Holy Spirit, and CHOOSE to SUBMIT to it, abide in it, and become transformed by it.
Love increases with the choosing! And is “always” the end result of adding to your faith, goodness; to goodness, knowledge; to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, brotherly kindness; to brotherly kindness, Love. [II Peter chapter One]
All we have to do is have Love and Truth as our guide and as our goal!
“Love does no harm to its neighbor.” and “Truth applies to every one equally”.
It is a found love, (Agape) coming from God through Jesus who reveals the love of/and in God to us as we search for love in the truthful alternatives to our reason for sinning!
All sin has a “Reason”, a “motive” for doing it. If you are being hurtful of someone you are not moving yourself to choose not to hurt someone, and instead – choosing to submit to doing the good you can find to do.
This doesn’t mean to do good to others, but rather, to not do the bad to others and choosing to walk in The Way of love as an alternative that the Holy Spirit reveals for you to do.
It’s called Repentance! And it means: to re-consider your sin from a divine viewpoint of thought, will and emotion, and choosing to submit to The Way of love and truth until it becomes a part of you and you are “one.”
Simply ask yourself: “Why do I do the wrong that I don’t want to do?”
Rather than living to satisfy your desire for worries, riches and/or pleasures, you live to know God’s Love.
This is the talk and anyone who shows this “Way” to walk along with the scriptures that pertain to it, and exhibits patience with your failure to grasp the knowledge of this wisdom, then they are walking it and talking it.
What you do not want is someone who says they are a Christian and believe in Jesus by Faith. They like to use the analogy of faith being like a light switch. Avoid this type of Christian, they are ignorant of “The Way” of repentance, and are usually well versed in the religious dogma of their church.
Because of this problem of blind-faith given unto blind-belief and all manner of blind assumptions to living in God by the Holy Spirit once they accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior; you will likely need for the two of you getting into a good bible study.
Only if the bible study teacher doesn’t show you “The Way” of Repentance leading to a knowledge of God’s Love, then your bible study will not do you any good. In fact they will harm you into learning to believe by the same blind-faith (like a light switch) they believe in.
But look at real Faith…
John 17:25-26 “O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy6 name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
Now look to Luke 10:22: “All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.”
Jesus reveals the Love of the Father to us!!! How? When we look for the True reason for why we do the sin we don’t want to do, and look intently into the perfect law of Love for an alternative, and DO IT!!! Then, we are seeing God, for God is love.
This love increases with our choosing as we continue to repent from our sinful ways; and our FAITH, which: “expresses itself through Love;” [Galatians 5:6] is FOUNDED!!!
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.” [Hebrews 11:1]
The substance of our hopes in heaven where we will know God’s love fully is believed because in the small measure of faith that we have been given, (only Jesus was given the full measure of faith), we see that love increases; hence, in heaven where I will be a full measured son of God, (adopted) I will know his love fully where now I know only in part. [I Cor. 13]
And evidence of things unseen…Jesus is unseen, when we see him we see the Father! They are one! By his love. This is our faith!
“Faith expresses itself through love.” [NIV Gal. 5:6] I can not know this agape love except as Jesus reveals it to us in truth.
The beauty of this teaching is that whether you are born-again or not the same teaching applies. “Repentance leads to salvation.” and “Repentance leads us to the knowledge of truth.” Once we establish ourselves as born-again, and move to grow into walking and talking of The Way of repentance unto love and truth, and not grow lazy, but continue to grow in our maturity as our understanding is developed, then we will recognize our future mate as of the same Mind or of desiring the same Mind, (in which we teach them), we will both grow in The Mind of Christ Jesus having his thoughts, will and emotion as our own. [I Cor. 2:16]
Yet be forewarned! Many will refuse to accept this definitive word of wisdom, “The Hidden Wisdom”; your question to ask yourself is: “What are you willing to settle for, now, and in the after life?”
