SAN DIEGO, CA — Is Meg Whitman the savior of the desperate State of California? Well, she has the potential to become a good governor if we look at her accomplishments in Corporate America. Her success as EBay’s CEO is not a feat that we can simply ignore. Whitman saved eBay when it was about to go kaput and I believe California is in the same critical status now. No pun intended but Mr. Terminator did more damage to the economy of California than actually redeeming it from financial instability. Regrettably, Gov. Schwarzenegger’s heroic acts in the movies did not translate to good governance for the Golden State. I give Whitman the great benefit of the doubt though because she’s a proven leader.
Meg Whitman took over eBay as the top dog of its whole operation in 1998. It did not take long for eBay constituencies to realize the aggressive leadership of Whitman. She did not take “no” for an answer and she was always an advocate of business alterations, but with a definite purpose: to keep eBay in the forefront of online retailing and e-business industry. Whitman was quite successful in her CEO role at eBay because she was able to turn the company into a multi-billion dollar e-commerce empire during her historic rule. Given these notable achievements, I do think that Meg Whitman will make things happen for the Californians. If I am still employed after her tenure, should she win the governorship of California, I will definitely campaign for her re-election as governor. And if in the future, Whitman decides to launch a crusade for a seat in the U.S. Congress, she will also have my full and unceasing support.
Californians need a hard-hitting politician who is unafraid to make drastic changes for the social welfare of the populace and for me, Whitman is that person. She is the right maven to make California a better place to live and a state of golden opportunity. With her business experience, she can take California to a whole new world of possibilities. We need more jobs to save our suffering economy and Whitman has the capability and expertise to make this desire a reality. She rescued eBay from a latent financial disaster in the past and that alone was quite an attainment. Being a CEO of any company is a challenging endeavor but Whitman made it look like a cakewalk and she’s done it with vigorous and enthusiastic enjoyment. It is quite amazing to imagine what she can do for Californians and perhaps she can magically change everything if she lays claim the throne of the Terminator in Sacramento.
I would like to see California rise from the ashes so we can altogether proclaim that we are from around here and Meg Whitman is our state governor. She is the hope of our economy and I truly believe that she understands our current state of affairs. She is wealthy enough so perhaps she can use her personal hoarded wealth to give California a fresh economic outlook. If you are looking for a fresh outset like I do, let’s give Whitman a chance. My heart tells me that she’s the heroine of this dispensation but we will not be able to experience her heroic acts if we don’t elect her as our governor. Meg, you got my vote and I do hope that others will accede and mark your name also on their ballots this coming election.
