Weight: Sure looks like 170# on the smiley face of my old friend Mr. Scale!
Silhouette: The silhouette on the shade is starting to remind me of somebody I used to know!
Breakfast Another boring old bowl of Honey Crunch n Oats with half a banana. Lunch: Clintonville held its annual Church in the Park today, with a catered meal by Mathew’s Supper Club following. I enjoyed two roll stuffed with barbecue, some kind of noodledoos and coleslaw. In the spirit of ecumenism, I thought I should partake of some interdemominational dessert, so I had a (very little) ‘bar’.
At home again, a glassful of lemonade and ….red grapes!
Dinner: I wouldn’t believe it if I were you, but I ate another Culver’s dinner! Ham and Swiss and fries.
Challenges: Challenges? The challenge is for the church of Jesus Christ to resist compromise! It was a joy today to celebrate the basic Gospel message that all Christian’s hold: there is salvation in no other name, than in the name of Jesus Christ! It was interesting to witness the various forms of worship that people of like faith take to heart. My “way” is just one of the ways. It is sad to realize that some who would follow Christ have added another book, or a character, or a ritual, or some strange doctrine that only detracts from the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Like the Mikro Diet, the church needs to keep it simple, and resist temptation (There. And you thought I couldn’t relate my little rant to the subject at hand!).
Dinner = FAILURE
Thoughts: Egad! I’ve heard of people celebrating their dieting success by blowing it!
What is it about even numbers that is so pleasing? Five pounds lost so far, but now I may have a clue about how much I need to lose. Probably another two sets of five.
