“Hurray! It’s that time again; I can’t wait to express my inner beauty, for the whole world to see.” Said one leaf called Suzy. It was fall once again, after a long hot summer. Suzy and her friends had worked so hard to provide shade and oxygen for the people and color the fields green. “Yea yea yea,” said Mary, she continued, “Oooh yes, I’m gonna glow in red and then yellow, what about you Suzy?” “Oh! I will glow in orange and maybe some red before I fly away.” She answered. The leaves danced merrily as the wind blew gently across them.
Meanwhile, Daniella was afraid. She curled herself up under the twig, not knowing what to do. She had heard from the voice in the wind that, if she is not strong enough she’ll be casted away and die before she shares her inner beauty.
“Oh Daniella, why are you so afraid? Why are you sad Daniella?” asked Suzy. “Mmmmm, I…..i….” she hesitated, “I am… I am afraid Suzy, I am afraid that I will not be strong enough to hold on until I share my beauty,” she continued, ” I had a voice telling me that I’ll be cast away if I’m not strong enough, and I’ll not be able to shine, and I really want to.” Suzy felt so sorry for Daniella, and called on her friend Mary, and shared with her Daniella’s pain. “Daniella, don’t be afraid.” Mary said, as she tried to encourage her. “No one will force you to leave… or cast you away. If anything no one forces anyone of us to leave unless we are ready to. “She said, “and that will be after we have displayed our colorful beauty for the world to see and enjoy. If anything, this is the time to shine; many people across the world celebrate with us, and even design and dress in our colors. Its time when people get amazed by our beauty and recognition for the tireless effort, we put to make the world a better place for all of us.” Suzy added.
Daniella was encouraged, and she came out of her hiding. Joyfully and in jubilation, she danced to the melody of the wind, and grew larger. At her time, she exploded in bright orange color and smiled as people were amazed at her beauty. She later flew away, happy to have witnessed the best moment of her life.
