Motivation has been a hard thing for me in anything I do. I was always interested in motivational quotes and speeches. I was always in awe of people who have a goal and are so motivated to achieve it that they do not let anything stand in their way.
I have had goals of my own and still have many. I have reached some and did not some others. Fortunatelly for me I’m still a young man at 30. I still have time to change my behaviour and achieve all of the goals I always wanted to achieve.
Recently I have come up on 2 quotes from 2 very well known movies. When I found them and heard them for the first time I was very happy. In my opinion they both tell you exactly what life is about, how to achieve your goals and what it takes to do so. Here are both of them:
1. “Somewhere along the line you changed, you stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you, your’e no good. When things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will bring you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done !
Cause if youre willing to go through all the battling you gotta go through to get to where you wanna get, who’s got the right to stop you? I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really wanna do, something you never said to somebody, something. And your’e told NO, even if you paid your doos? Who’s got the right to tell you that, who? Nobody!? It’s your’e right to listen to your gut, and it ain’t nobody’s right to say NO, after you earn the right to be what you wanna be and do what you wanna do.
Now, if you know what your worth, then go out and get what your worth, but you have to be willing to take the hits, and not point fingers saying your not where you want to be because of him, or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you! Your’e better than that!”
That is the first quote and it is from the movie Rocky Balboa. Listening to this on you tube in this video is great and motivates me like crazy. Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSYtQy9EqTA
2. ” I dont know what to say really. Three minutes to the biggest battle of our professional lives. All comes down to today. Now, either we heal as a team or we are gonna crumble. Inch by inch, paly by play, till we are finished. We are in hell right now gentelmen. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb out of hell. One inch at a time.
You know, when you get old in life things get taken from you. That is part of life. You only learn that when you start loosing stuff. You find out, life is this game of inches. The margin for error is so small. I mean one half of step too late or too early, and you don’t quite make it. One half secont too slow, to fast and you don’t quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They’re in every brake of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch, on this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch, we claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know that when we add up all of those inches, that’s gonna make the damn difference between winning and loosing, between living and dying.
I’ll tell you this, in any fight it’s the guy who is willing to die, who’s gonna win that inch. Either we heal now as a team or we will die as individuals. That’s all it is. Now, what are you gonna do? “
To me those are the best motivational quotes I have ever heard. I love sports and can relate to these quotes very well. I hope they will help motivat you as well and that you will reach all of your goals.
