MTV’s Teen Mom was very emotional in the most recent episode. Maci considered moving to Nashville, Farrah dealt with debt, Amber looked into completing her education, and Catelynn struggled through family issues.
During this episode of Teen Mom, Maci had an important talk with her boyfriend Kyle. Maci and Kyle live two hours away from each other. The distance is tough. Kyle suggests that Maci think about moving to Nashville to be closer to him. They talk about it and decide that if they ever want their relationship to have a chance then a move must be considered. Maci is still hesitant because of her family and what is best for Bentley. She is not sure if Kyle realizes the responsibility that being with a teen mom entails.
Maci makes an effort to examine daycare and other college options. She decides that she is going to move to Nashville to be with Kyle. Now all she has to do is tell her parents.
After being scammed on the internet Farrah is out about $3,000. She realizes that she is still young and immature after her mistake trying to sell her car online. Rather than run to her family (who she does not have a good relationship with due to domestic violence by her mother) she decides to take on extra hours at work. Her bosses listen to her plight and she finds a babysitter while she tries to make ends meet for the month.
Farrah also tries her hand at speed dating. While her friend babysits baby Sophia she goes to a restaurant and meets for a few minutes with a few guys. Farrah decides to try this avenue of dating because she has such little time and speed dating is extra fast. Unfortunately, there is no one romance worthy at the speed dating event. I agree with Farrah that these men were not good choices. Especially since one was turned off by the fact that she has a child. They also seemed a bit too old for her.
Amber is busy trying to finish up her high school education. Gary wants her to get her GED so that she can be there for her family and move on with her life. Amber has concerns about how a GED looks compared to a high school diploma.
She thinks that people who are hiring her will look down on her high school diploma, but a counselor explains to her that her college education will be the most important. Amber decides that as a teen mom getting her GED is the right choice.
Amber takes a test at the library to practice her GED and finds the material difficult. I felt bad to see her cry over her education. It seems to be truly important for her and I hope she is able to catch up and graduate.
Catelynn and Tyler’s part of the episode was the most dramatic. Catelynn dealt with her rocky relationship with her mother. Her mother seems to have a very tough, unfriendly attitude. She tried to address Catelynn not helping around the house but ended up cursing at her instead.
I felt the worst for Tyler in this episode because his father returned to rehab. His father has a cocaine and alcohol habit and has been in jail Tyler’s life. It is a never-ending cycle that seems to truly bother Tyler no matter how much he holds it inside.
