When I was younger, my Grandma loved Christmas, she started her Christmas Club at the bank on December 26th so that she’d have enough money for the big day next year. One year, my Grandma had bought a new stove to cook all of our food, she was cooking for more than thirty people and wanted a sparkling new stove. This is where the problems started. My Grandma had the stove installed by my Grandpa who thought that he was God’s gift to mechanics and household repairs. Unfortunately, this time he did not do such a great job. My Grandma put the turkey in and the stove kept saying error when she set the electronic timer. The turkey would not be cooking at that rate.
We started to open presents in front of the fire place with my Grandma screaming at the stove and slamming the door calling it a stupid appliance. We were all laughing our heads off. Then, the stove door fell off because she slammed it so hard so we all decided to order take out and have a nice Christmas. I will never forget that Christmas; we made sure to not repeat the same scenario the next Christmas.
