I would like to take a moment to thank you for all you have done so far during your time in office and all that I am sure you will accomplish in the future. If there was ever a time when these United States of America needs a strong, morally motivated and capable leader, it is now.
I am the lucky husband of a beautiful wife and the proud father of a wonderful son. My wife is expecting and we hope to have a baby girl in March of next year. Many people have asked me why I would choose this time to have another child and I tell them because it is only going to get better.
Looking back on some of the hardest times that this country and its citizens have had to endure, you will always find a strong president at the helm of the country. No matter how hard the decisions may seem at the time, no matter how strong the opposition of those lacking the vision, our leaders have blazed a path for our country.
To be honest, I am not the most patriotic person, but definitely more than some. I have our 50 stars and 13 strips flying outside the house everyday and I went to vote for you, in the most pivotal election of late for this country.
What really motivated me to write to you, sir, is that you are an educated man, who has worked hard to become the individual you are. When I think of past leaders of this country that your ideals bring to mind, the names Washington, Franklin, Lincoln, Truman and Roosevelt come to mind. I say this to convey the sense that, for me, the politics of America seem to be drifting away from the everyday man and it is important to me that you are fighting for that very individual. While trying to change a system that is becoming too bureaucratic and very out of touch with those of us who pay to have it run.
Recent presidents that I personally have been knowledgeable of seem to always have somebody paying the way for them or have the connections to get to office. It is so important for me to be able to turn to my son and say, One day, you will be president,” without knowing in the back of my mind that it will never happen. The truth of that statement to my son is the key to this country; the day it can no longer happen, is the day this country dies.
So the reason my wife and I are having another child is because you bring that honesty to the office of president. You, sir, are a man who works to further this country at the sacrifice of your family. I know that being away from my family 10 hours a day at work is hard. I can only imagine how hard it is to spend time with your family and get that quality time in. This country is made up of 50 states, comprising 309 million people and we need to pull together to make the future ours. Thank you for helping us do that. I hope one day my family and I will have a chance to meet you. Good luck in all your future endeavors.
