Beverly Nails and Spa is a nail and skin care salon located at 5321 S. Superstition Mountain Drive, Suite 105, Gold Canyon, Arizona 85118, telephone number (480) 288-4572.
Its location in the Basha’s supermarket shopping center is very convenient for Gold Canyon residents who want a little pampering but who do not want to drive into nearby Apache Junction or Mesa.
Beverly Nails and Spa offers a full range of artificial nail care services, including acrylic and solar nail full sets, fill-ins, back fills, repair and removal, as well as silk wraps. Prices range from $25.00 to $35.00 for a full set. Fill-ins and back fill prices range from $17.00 to $30.00. Removal prices range from $10.00 to $20.00.
They also offer natural nail care services, such as regular and deluxe manicures and spa pedicures and nail designs. Prices for manicures range from $12.00 to $20.00. They offer three types of spa pedicures: classic, deluxe and special, ranging from $22.00 to $45.00. The cost of two nail designs is $5.00.
Their skin care services include a one-half or one hour facial and face and body waxing. A half hour facial is $30.00 and a full hour facial is $50.00. Body and face waxing services include eyebrows, upper lips, legs, arms, tummy, back, bikini and Brazilian and the prices range from $6.00 to $50.00 per face or body part.
The prices are just slightly higher than in Mesa, but when one considers the cost of gasoline and the additional 15-20 minutes it takes to drive to Mesa, it is probably worth paying a couple of extra dollars more per service, especially if one is short on time.
The staff is very friendly and always smiling. The environment has a family feel to it. They usually have a wide-screen television on and the staff often does chatter quite a bit. If I had one complaint, it would be that it is often a little too noisy at times, and the atmosphere is not the relaxing, quiet spa experience that one may expect if getting a facial or an expensive pedicure.
The level of service is above average and very efficient. Perhaps too efficient in the sense that when it is busy, they aim to get you in and out as quickly as possible. This is particularly true during the winter months when the “snow birds” (visitors and part-time residents from out of state) are here. Beverly Nails and Spa is relatively small and it can get crowded during the winter months. Although walk-ins are always welcome, an appointment is highly recommended particularly during the winter months and/or around holidays.
Lastly, but very importantly, Beverly Nails and Spa is very well maintained in terms of cleanliness. This is important when considering the warm whirlpool foot soaks that are included with each spa pedicure. Whenever visiting any nail or skin salon, it is critical to look for how thorough the staff is in cleaning up after each patron and the general state of the facilities.
Would I recommend Beverly Nails and Spa? Yes, I would recommend them as an excellent alternative to driving into Apache Junction or Mesa or during the winter months when they tend to get too busy.
