When I ate dinner at a good friend’s house a couple of weeks ago, his wife served hot dogs and beans, with potato pancakes served on the side. When I saw and tasted the potato pancakes, I thought they were homemade, but my friend’s wife said that they were actually Nathan’s Famous Potato Pancakes.
Up until then, I was unaware of any retail products besides hot dogs being produced by Nathan’s Famous. Known the world over for their delicious hot dogs, Nathan’s Famous is now offering a fairly large selection of retail items, including these great potato pancakes.

When I recently ate Nathan’s Famous Potato Pancakes for the first time, my friend’s wife cooked the pancakes. The two textures contrasted well with each other, creating an appealing product that offers a very pleasant mouth – feel. I think that the texture of Nathan’s Famous Potato Pancakes makes them a great choice to serve with a wide range of dishes. They definitely provide a tasty alternative to French fries, snack chips and other common meal accompaniments.

Taste / Flavor
When my friend’s wife recently served Nathan’s Famous Potato Pancakes along with hot dogs and beans, she just said that she was serving potato pancakes. I guess I assumed that she was making them from scratch. As soon as I tasted the potato pancakes, I was quite impressed. The pancakes were nicely seasoned and not at all bland, as some varieties of potato pancakes tend to be.
I really enjoyed eating the crispy, golden brown exterior part of the pancakes, which to me, looked and tasted a lot like hash brown potatoes, and the interior parts of the pancakes were just as tasty. Just like Nathan’s Famous hot dogs, their potato pancakes feature a unique and appealing flavor. Although the two potato pancakes that I ate were enough to satisfy my appetite, I definitely could have eaten at least one or two more of them.

All things considered, Nathan’s Famous Potato Pancakes are quite flavorful and they maintain a nice, contrasting texture. Because they are a Nathan’s Famous product, you can almost expect the product to be delicious and made from high quality ingredients. This tasty side dish is reasonably priced and recommended by this food writer.
