We haven’t dropped in to check it out yet and can’t find any reviews on line, which isn’t terribly surprising considering it just opened up yesterday (October 21st).
The descriptions of the place sound pretty good though. NY Eater quotes somebody, presumably the owner Matt Shendell, saying that they will be serving “globally inspired burgers,” which sounds simply awesome. We’re thinking maybe a guacamole burger, some sort of Greek Feta creation, or possibly an Irish Whisky burger accompanied with a shot of Jameson (this is all congecture, mind you, simply what we would like to see).
Housed in 2,500 square feet of town-house, NY Eater reports Pub One sports 10 high def TVs and a “huge backyard.” We love nothing more than burgers and beer in the backyard, so count us in for sure.
Furthermore, BlackBook reports that the backyard is in fact “ginormous ivy-clad” with “front row seats to the Brooklyn Bridge.” Again, this is sounding pretty good. Now if somebody will just send word of an awesome happy-hour deal we will give notice on our apartment and change the mailing address to Pub Ones backyard. If only.
Located at 5 Front street in Fulton Ferry right next to DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights.
