New Years Eve parties for adults are held in many areas, but there are not very many parties on this special night for the teenagers. Be the first in your neighborhood to have a party for the teens in your life.
All one needs is space for the teens, decorations, music, plenty of snacks, and a chaperone or two. With this hand guide, I’ll be covering all of that briefly.
When making the invite list, keep it relatively small, and plan at least one chaperone for each ten children. Keeping it small will help keep the problems to a minimum and the fun to a good level.
A cellar is a great place to allow the teenagers to have their party if it is a modern cellar with a concrete floor and electricity. Any large room where there is enough room for kids is good. Let them have the party on their own by the chaperone should do random checks.
Have a few games to play, some teens love video games so have a gaming system all set up with the latest game ready to go. If you are using a ps2, setting it up on a large screen television so the kids can play a first person shooter is a fun idea. Also, set up some board games or even cards so the teens who do not like video games can still relax and have fun.
Music played on a stereo is always good; a teenager is the best judge of what types of music will be played so enlist the help of your own teen for this. At the party, do not limit their music to your own liking, as this is their party. They might surprised you and listen to music you enjoy.
Food should be served buffet style. Just pick a counter top or table and fill it will snacks in bowls. A menu could include a mix of hot and cold foods such as chicken wings, fried chicken, pepperoni, cheese, salsa dip, chips and of course regular dip for those teenagers who dislike salsa related items. A mixed veggie tray with dip is good for some teens but not all.
The best way to plan the menu is for the host to simply make the chicken wings and ask the teens invites to bring a snack or a non-alcoholic drink. Just supply the plates or bowls and let the kids have fun.
Let teenagers safely ring in the New Year, and teach them that alcohol is not need to have a good time.
