Lots of injuries as always to get to. Here is the latest:
-Eagles coach Andy Reid claims that WR DeSean Jackson is with it mentally but he still has some shoulder soreness and also hasnt passed his NFL mandated concussion tests. He will certainly be out Sunday.
-Jaguars QB David Garrad didnt even appear at the team’s practice facility today as its clear he will be on the bench Sunday due to the concussion he sustained last Monday. With backup Trent Edwards also hurt, third-stringer Todd Bouman would get the start.
-Panthers WR Steve Smith was a full participant at practice for the second straight day today and he will likely play on Sunday after sitting out two games with a bum ankle. Smith is still nothing but a WR 3 in all leagues due to the QB play.
-Packers WR Donald Driver missed practice yet again today as coach Mike McCarthy claims he is resting for Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Driver wont let anyone stop him from playing in this huge game so expect to see him out there, albeit at less than 100 percent.
-Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham was back at practice today and seems to be a go for Sunday. Graham has a solid chance to take the starting running back job from the ineffective Carnell Williams and thus he would gain fantasy football value. Keep an eye on him this week.
-Broncos WR Eddie Royal if looking iffy for Sunday as he missed another day of practice with a sore groin. A groin injury is always tough for a wide receiver with all of the cutting during routes so dont count on him being out there.
-Redskins TE Chris Cooley was a full participant at practice Wednesday and reported that he felt great. Cooley suffered a concussion last Sunday against the Colts but he apparently is not feeling any aftereffects. This is good news and he should have a good chance of playing on Sunday.
-Saints RB Pierre Thomas remains out of practice one again as his high ankle sprain continues to give him problems. Rookie Chris Ivory and Ladell Betts would split carries in a great matchup against the Browns. Check out the Fantasy Football Player Analyzer feature on Ivory which was posted earlier.
-Cardinals RB Beanie Wells will start getting the lions share of carries now that he is fully recovered from the ankle injury that limited his the last few weeks. Tim Hightower will still play on third downs but Wells will tote the football most of the time now.
-Chargers WR Vincent Jackson will sign his tender and report to the team Friday. Jackson is eligible to play in Week 11 but who knows what kind of production you will get from him. He is nothing but a lottery ticket right now.
-Titans QB Vince Young remained out of practice as he deals with the knee/ankle injury he suffered Monday night. The feeling inside the organization however is that he will be out there Sunday. Young is not a starting caliber player yet in most fantasy football leagues so dont sweat this.
-Chargers TE Antonio Gates missed practice again with his injured toe and its starting to look like he will be out against the soft Patriots defense this week. Gates join Legedu Naane and Malcom Floyd on the sidelines for San Diego.
