NFL scores week 4 Sunday coverage is complete. The NFL scores week 4 coverage still has a nice Monday night game in the forecast, but most of the results are in for the fourth week of the 2010 NFL season. There ended up being more surprises than advertised this week, including the Jacksonville Jaguars beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-28 and the Cleveland Browns upending the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. There were also quite a few games that ended up being far closer than they should have been, with teams just barely escaping upsets along the way.
The Houston Texas just barely beat the Oakland Raiders 31-24, the Green Bay Packers just barely scraped by the Detroit Lions 28-26, and the Atlanta Falcons needed a very late field goal to beat the San Francisco 49ers 16-14. Then in the Sunday night game it was the New York Giants proving that they are still relevant by beating a Chicago Bears team that was undefeated before the night started.
There were quite a few games that have altered the NFL standings heading into week 5 of the season, and not many expected the Washington Redskins to go into Philadelphia and take over a share of the NFC East standings. That is exactly what happened on Sunday though, and it is clear that the NFC East is either more competitive or less talented than NFL analysts had predicted this year.
Then we have the NFC West, which is also not going according to plan, with that plan originally being that the San Francisco 49ers would be running away with things. Instead it turns out that the 49ers are pretty terrible, now moving to 0-4 on the season, and placing much worse than both the two win Seattle Seahawks and two win St. Louis Rams at this point. How that division will turn out is anyone’s guess at this point.
