Measure A proposes to protect and maintain uninsured children’s health through regular medical checkups, immunizations, and early detection whereby the Santa Clara County will enact $29 per parcel per year for a ten-year period. This will help eliminate insurance coverage for low-income children of working families. Check http://www.avoteforkids.info/ for more information about Measure A.
Measure B is proposed to provide funds to repair potholes and relieve traffic congestion in Santa Clara County by highest priority roadway improvements. The proposal imposes $10 fee annually on each motor vehicle registration that is paid within the county of Santa Clara.
Proposition 19 proposed to legalize marijuana under state not federal law.
Proposition 20 favors redistricting of congressional districts.
Propositon 21 establishes $18 annual vehicle license surcharge to help fund state parks.
Proposition 22 prohibits state from borrowing or taking funds for local projects.
Proposition 23 suspends implementation of Air Pollution Control Law (AB 32).
Proposition 24 repeals legislation favoring businesses to lower tax liability.
Prop 25 changes vote requirements to pass budget related legislation with simple majority rather than 2/3 majority.
Prop 26 requires state and local fees be approved by 2/3 vote.
Prop 27 eliminates state commission on redistricting.
