In 1994 They released ther first product: “Elder Scrolls: Arena” The 2nd installment of the series didn’t wait long. “Daggerfall” was released in 1996. Even then these games provided a major influence on the RPG world Introducing 3D worlds into gaming from the good old Dos Program. Between number 2 and 3 a couple of smaller non-series games were released until “Elder Scrolls III: Morrowing” was released for X-box and PC. The game provided wonderful expansive game play and environmental capabilities. Although some bugs were in the PC game, the cheat console made up for it. The Expansions of 2002 and 2003 known as “Tribunal” and “Blood Moon” added on to the already expansive game. Bethesda started development on “Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” in 2002. The game developers began working with AI (artificial intelligence) to give the game a twist. Theoretically you may have a different experience everytime you play the game. The game was not released until 2006 for the PC, XBOX 360. The PS3 didn’t obtain it until early 2007. The Expansions “Knights of the Nine”, and “Shivering Isles” were released around that time as well.
NOW, finally on to oblivion. The game is well known for the vast world, character intelligence, skill system, and environmental internaction. As well as depending on What race depends on how the AI of different regions react to you.
The PC version of Oblivion differs to XBOX 360 as it has multiple processors and graphics to run the game well, as for PC systems you may have to sacrifice some of the quality for better performance. The cheat console in the game makes of for lack of beauty which you can always change later if you get a new part. As well as user created content for the game.
GAMEPLAY: This game will be remembered and the series is hopefully continued farther than before. The text in the game was modified from Morrowind to make it easier to read as well as a more categorized system of finding what you need. such as ur inventory you can sort between weapon, armor, potions/spells, and miscellaneous. Even the spells are categorized. The Combat of Oblivion is not as flexible from most games, but still serves its purpose of entertaining while looking beautiful. The games hack and slash style of repetitive movement with a weapon with very few styles of attack, are made up for the amount of weapon and spell types. Including the option of making weapons, Spells, and putting spells on weapons and armor. The free spirit of the game allows you to go anywhere or do what you in the game. So many sidequest in the game provide hours upon hours of gameplay not even including the main story line. Also knowing the higher your level gets the harder the enemies become and the more valuable the treasure.
