Office 2007 SmartArt can help create powerful visuals when presenting flowcharts, hierarchies, processes, and more.
SmartArt is effortless to create. To do so, follow these steps:
Click on the “Insert” tab and select “SmartArt” from the “Illustrations” group.
Select the type of graphic you want from the left menu. Or, you may scroll through “All” to view all of your options.
Once you click on the graphic, it is inserted into your document. SmartArt is available in Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007.
Next, click on any of the “Text” areas to begin typing the text you wish to appear. Depending on the shape and available space, the text will format automatically.
In the “SmartArt Styles” group, select “Change Colors” to change the colors to match your document.
To edit the SmartArt graphic, click on the options within the “Create Graphic” group.
For example, if a process shows a circular reference to data and you decide you want the data in reverse, click on the “Right to Left” button to change the direction of the graphic.
If you make changes to the SmartArt, but want to change it back to the default, click on the “Reset graphic” button on the “Design” tab.
