The 2010 Ohio State football schedule gets underway September 2. The first game on the 2010 Ohio State football schedule is against Marshall, which the No. 2 ranked Buckeyes will host at 7:30 p.m. EST. It’s a game that Ohio State is heavily favored to win, and gets the Buckeyes started on their quest to play in the college football championship game this season. It is also the first of four non-conference games that Ohio State plays before they begin their Big Ten schedule on October 2. Those four non-conference games are against Marshall, Miami of Florida, Ohio University, and Eastern Michigan. Amazingly, Ohio State was able to swing their first four games all to be played in Ohio.
The non-conference schedule is followed up by eight games against Big Ten opponents during the rest of the season. Right now OSU is ranked No. 2 in both the Associated Press and Coaches’ polls for college football. The toughest games on the schedule appear to be road games against Wisconsin and Iowa later in the schedule, so it looks like Ohio State could be on their way to a very strong finish in the Big Ten Conference during the 2010 season.
