I kept asking, “Where is it? I don’t see it.”
“See it with your heart,” I was told.
Just then a great bird was flying to me from the east. I could hear its great wings. I felt the wind as it perched on a fountain now very near to me.
It was a great brown hawk. When she looked very deep into my eyes, I could see the box. It was resting on purple at the base of the fountain. The Hawk spread her great wings to provide covering.
I kneeled beside the box. I raise my eyes to look at the Hawk. Her eyes meet mine. I hear my name again.
Kijarra, open the box. Reveal yourself to the box. You are the chosen to receive the revelation of the great mystery of the ancient wisdom.
When I opened the box, a waterfall of feelings poured out my soul. I was emptying until nothing was left of me. I didn’t recognize myself without all of the decoration and tradition of my family’s identity and experience.
When I saw nothing, my sight had become clear. The true nature of my heart had been revealed to me.
In the revealing of myself to the golden box, I did see. I saw a woman with child smile. She told me that all who would receive, the revelation I would share and its power to love, would know the blessing of great fruit and peace.
When I woke I felt your presence like I had felt the covering of the great Hawk.
Kijarrra, the Keeper said. The Golden Box is now yours. You are now become the Keeper. You are the one chosen to receive the revelation of the great mystery of the ancient wisdom. In you, lies the hope of your people. It is the hope of promise, the gift of faith.
Life gives birth to herself where she finds just one soul ready to share what has been revealed. Not all will hear. It is but yours to share.
When the time comes for you to pass on the revelation to the care of another, trust your inner vision. It will not mislead you. It led me to you.
As she spoke, she touched me again and I slept until the awakening for the announcement of my new naming ceremony. I looked around for the Keeper. I asked where she was.
There was no time. I had to prepare for the coming high sun.
The time had come for me to stand before the opening of the great tent and be called out and introduced by my new name. While I waited to be called, I thought of all that I had learned and it was only the beginning.
Mother stood and said, “To all of the Garden Land: Today, my strong right arm and I announce the name, the new name of our heir.
She is Kijarra, Keeper of the Golden Box.
