O’Reilly Auto Parts has more than 3,300 stores in 38 states. The company culture is one that encourages and fosters enthusiastic, hardworking individuals with a strong customer service mentality. In keeping with their plans to be an automotive industry leader, they offer services in-store that some customers may not be aware of, but are very beneficial to the consumer.
Used Oil & Battery Recycling – Lots of do-it-yourselfers who are changing their own oil are faced with the question of what to do with the old oil. You can bring your used oil and batteries to your local O’Reilly Auto Parts store and they will recycle them for you free of charge.
Battery Testing – If you aren’t sure what shape your car batter is in, then you can bring it into a local store and they will test it out for you for no charge. If you need a new one, they can sell you one and take your old one in for recycling.
Electrical & Module Testing – They can test your alternator on or off the car. They can also check your ignition control module to make sure it is working properly. This is extremely helping if you are troubleshooting and don’t want to replace a part that may not be the problem.
Loaner Tool Program – For a fully refundable deposit, you can borrow some specialty tools that you probably don’t own yourself.
Drum / Rotor Resurfacing – Trained team members can resurface your car’s brake drums or rotors, usually while you wait.
Machine Shop – If you need something machined, O’Reilly Auto can have it done at their machine shop.
Professional Paint Shop & Mixing – At most locations, you can find auto body supplies; sandpaper, stripper, primers and touch up paints. Some locations offer paint mixing.
Custom Hydraulic Hoses – O’Reilly Auto has hoses and fittings for most of your needs; participating locations can do custom-made hydraulic hoses for you.
You can check with your local store to find out if they have all of the services available. Not all locations do paint, hoses, or machining. Do check in with the team members to see what assistance they can give you when you are fixing your own vehicle. Most of the time they will be able to aid you in finding the problem and fixing it quickly. They can also suggest any additional items that should be replaced at the time of your repair.
