Tis the season for warm, fun treats and Orville Redenbacher Caramel Popcorn is no exception to this rule! If you have a sweet tooth but love popcorn as well, this is a sure bet for you! It’s simple to make and tasty too. This caramel corn is the only brand that I have found on the west coast that you can buy and make at home for a nice warm caramel corn from the microwave. The package comes with only boxes in the package for anywhere from a $1.68 to $2 and it’s worth every penny! I really liked that when you pop up the bag of popcorn, there is almost no seeds left, nearly every seed pops giving you more caramel corn than other kinds of popcorn offer.
The directions are simple, pop up the popcorn as you normally would. Dump the popped popcorn into a microwave safe bowl. Cut open the pouch of caramel into fours and place them in various areas of the bowl and place in the microwave for a minute or until your caramel is melted and bubbly. Using two wooden spoons, toss the popcorn so that it gets evenly covered in caramel. Once it’s cooled enough to handle it’s good to eat.
Orville Redenbacher’s Caramel corn states that there are 5 servings in each bag of caramel corn. There are 160 calories in the entire bag– 60 0f which are from fat. A total of 8 grams of fat, 0 cholesterol, 35 mg of sodium, and only 24 grams of carbs, this is a much healthier snack if you share it with a friend. Not to mention, it’s better than handing the kids a wad of sugar and letting them go out. When I tried this popcorn, I had mine with a big cup of hot cocoa and it was delicious! I recommend this popcorn for anyone that loves caramel or popcorn.
