The holiday season is coming up and many people may be counting down to a specific holiday.
If you use Outlook as your calendar, there are many ways to setup reminders and “count downs.”
Did you know in Outlook that you can type the word “Christmas” in a Date field and the date 12/25/2010 will automatically be filled in for you.
You may also type “today”, “tomorrow”, “yesterday”, “next week”, “last week”, “2 weeks from today”, “X days from now”, “Labor Day”, “Thanksgiving”, “Memorial Day”, and others. Try anything you would normally speak to someone and the date will probably convert.
This can be very helpful in situations like a Real Estate Contract or a Business Day situation.
For example: If someone tells you something will be shipped in 2 weeks, you can set a reminder and type “2 weeks from today” in the date field and it will calculate the date for you.
For our Phoenix residents waiting for their trip up North, type “10 days from today” in the date field and “July 1, 2010” will populate.
