It has always been difficult for me to grow my hair. It will reach a certain length-just above my shoulders- and then it’s like the growth is somehow stunned and it won’˜t grow any longer no matter what I do. I am sure that one reason for my inability to grow my hair is because of its tendency to become extremely dry. Being African American makes my hair more susceptible to dryness, but if I factor in the fact that my hair was also severely damaged from over-exposure to chemical processes, that’˜s even more of a reason for its inability to grow. Due to the state that my hair was in, I knew I’d need the ultimate product in order for my hair to grow, so I began to search for the perfect product.
Hair vitamins and cleaning up my diet alone didn’t produce big results, so I decided to find a product that would kick up my hair growth another notch. That’s when I decided to purchase Pantene Pro-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask from my local Walgreens. The label of the product claims that the product will: restore moisture back into dry hair for smooth strands that are protected from damage, returns smoothness to dry and damaged hair as well as helps with fly-away strands caused by frizz and breakage. I was very excited to try this product in hopes that it would help me get my long, strong and beautiful head of hair back.
I was disappointed to discover that Pantene Prov-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask wasn’t the wonder product that I expected it to be. After using the product religiously for several months, I didn’t notice any major changes in the growth department. My hair was still dry, still damaged, and still breaking off quite a bit. I realized that I needed a professional to help me to get my hair back into a healthier state and perhaps then it will be able to grow long like I desire. I’m not saying that Pantene Pro-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask is a bad product that doesn’t live up to its claims like many other products I’ve used it the past, but I feel that my hair was just too far gone to be helped in only a few months. If I had more time, money and patience, I would have tried the product for six months or more, but I desired quicker results, so I had to seek the assistance and guidance of a professional in order to quickly get my hair into a healthy shape.
