Superstar singer Celine Dion has a Titanic-sized voice to go with that mammoth hit theme song, but when it comes to babies, she understandably doesn’t want to take any chances. She was hospitalized today at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL, as a precaution to prevent premature delivery of her twins. Her representatives describe the hospitalization as ” standard protocol” for pregnancy with twins, and that the singer wanted to be near her doctors as the arrival time for her twin boys approaches.
Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, have struggled with fertility issues for years, and are the parents of 9-year-old son, Rene Charles. The twins are expected to deliver early next month. The couple announced the pregnancy several months ago after years of trying to have more children.
Rest easy, Dion mom!
Lance Armstrong announced happy news of his own on Twitter today, with the arrival of his new baby daughter. Oliva Marie Armstrong arrived today and earned her official name after months of being called “Cinco Armstrong” for months to friends and followers. The new baby is the second child for the Tour de France champion and his girlfriend, 39-year-old Anna Hansen. Their son, Max, was born in June, 2009, and Lance has three children with his ex-wife, Kristin, and the blended families have maintained strong and amicable bonds. Armstrong had strong family support for all his Tour de France appearances, and is often seen being a hands-on dad even during his race warm-ups. No word if he plans for as many children as he has Tour victories-that would be seven. Whatever the future plans, best wishes to the expanding Armstrong clan!
