Whenever I get really bad bruises from either being clumsy or accidentally bumping into the corner of that darn kitchen cabinet I usually soak in a homemade herbal parsley bath soak to help heal the bruise up fast. The parsley herbal bath soak not only helps heal the bruise right up, but it can also help relieve the pain that usually comes with them.
The reason bruising usually occurs in the first place when our bodies get bumped around is because blood is released from the capillaries underneath the tissues in our skin. This leads to the purple black and blue mark we see on our bodies and skin known as a bruise. As the bruise heals up the blood is absorbed back into the tissues under the skin and the purple black and blue mark goes away.
The reason parsley is used to in this bath soak for bruises is because it has strong therapeutic properties to it that help shrink the blood vessels back down relieving swelling and discolorations caused by the bruises. Other ingredients in the parsley herbal bath soak for bruised skin are Epsom salted for relaxing muscles, crushed comfrey for healing damaged tissues underneath the skin, ginger for reducing inflammation, and lavender to help calm and soothe. All of these ingredients can be located at your local herbal store or even grocery store.
The way you make the homemade parsley herbal bath soak for bruised skin is by taking 5 cups of Epsom salt, 1 cup of dried parsley leaves, 1 cup of crushed comfrey, ½ cup of ginger powder, and 25 drops of lavender oil and placing them in a large metal bowl. Then you simply take a big wooden spoon and combined all the ingredients together until you get a parsley herbal bath soak for bruises that is white in color with green specks throughout it and a strong relaxing lavender scent. If you do not like the scent of lavender you can always use a different scented essential oil you do like the smell of instead. Once you have make the bath soak you can take a large plastic container and pour all the bath soak into it and cover it up with a lid. The bath soak should last you awhile unless you take baths in this herbal bath often.
The best way I find to use the homemade parsley herbal bath for bruised skin is by first filling you bathtub up with plenty of hot water that you can easily handle on your bare skin and body. After you will take 1 cup of the bath soak and pour it into your bathtub directly into your bathwater so it can dissolve nicely into it. Once that is done you can get into the bath and soak in all the healing herbs and salts from the soak for as long as you possible can. You should repeat this soak nightly until your bruises are all gone. I wish you all the best with healing up and keeping those bruises away.
