You can scale the 24 foot climbing wall, play at the miniature golf course complete with water hazards and sand traps or practice your swing at the batting cages. The Fun Plex in Omaha boasts Omaha’s largest water park and ride complex. You can relax in the lazy river, ride the waves in the motion ocean or slide down the Typhoon water slides. If water parks aren’t your thing, you can take a ride on the carousel, challenge your teens to a driving race on the go cart track or enjoy the YoYo ride.
For lunch, check out Dixie Quicks dixiequicks.com/. You might be better off getting reservations but as far as midwestern home cooking goes, this place is great. They offer something for everyone and the menu changes daily.
If your teen enjoys art, your family can take in a film at the Ruth Sokolof Theatre. The theatre presents films that are not shown in the larger commercial theatres. You may also want to visit the Joslyn Art Museum. This Museum was voted as one of the “10 Best Art Museums for Kids” in the nation by Child Magazine.
We cannot forget the shoppers in the family! Crossroads Mall and Oak View Mall offer many stores that will interest the entire family. The Old Market has a great variety of shops and stores, including art and clothing that will be sure to please everyone.
