Let’s have fun with this personal journal assignment by creatively visualizing your perfect day. Writing your own visualization will also stretch your creative visualization capacity. After you’ve written specifics about your perfect day, consider recording the visualization in your own voice to create your personal guided meditation.
Our perfect day personal journal assignment is not exactly a gentleness break, but an awful lot like one!
Most journal entries are serious. Usually we’re dumping negativity, asking unanswerable questions or improving an aspect of our emotional selves. Are you excited to begin?
Anything is possible in our creative imagination. Let your words flow onto the page without fear, judgment or worry. Just for now, suppose that you have pots of money, unlimited freedom to pursue your dreams and helpful people pop into your life when you are stuck.
I’ll start you off with a few questions, but please don’t put your perfect day in a box. Spread your wings and fly in unbounded skies.
Personal Journal Assignment: Visualize your Perfect Day
Where are you? What is the first thing you do when you wake-up? How do you feel this morning? What color/texture clothing is calling your name? Will you meditate or practice Yoga or Tai Chi to start your perfect day?
Are you still working? If so, how does your job make your heart sing? If not, describe your perfect position. Will you help people in some capacity? Would you have assistants? In what ways is your job exciting and rewarding?
What’s for breakfast? Will you eat in or out? What kind of car will you drive to what restaurant if you go out? (Be very specific – color, make, model, etc.) Where will you go from here? A barefoot walk on the beach? A hike in the mountains?
Let’s dialogue about friends. What do you enjoy doing together? Do you have platonic friends of the opposite sex? Describe your perfect mate. How does your perfect mate compare with the one you have? Or the “one” you are dating?
What do you love about your perfect home? Describe the energy in your home. What colors do you prefer? Do you work at home? Describe your perfect office space.
What will you do to nourish your spiritual self? List 5 spiritual books you look forward to reading. Might you go to the library or a bookstore and get at least 1 of them? Will you attend a religious service? Perhaps a social afterwards? Will you approach someone you haven’t connected with before and start a conversation? Will you welcome a newcomer?
Do you attend a support group? If not, do you have a supportive circle of friends?
Will you give thanks to Creator before going to bed for providing this perfect day?
Mark a future date on your calendar when you can either take a day-off from work or grab a free day on the weekend.
Read over your journal assignment “Visualize Your Perfect Day” and mark any items that are doable NOW.
May I help? – What kind of car will you drive to what restaurant if you go out?
Go to a car dealership and take a test drive of your perfect car. Pick up literature.
Go to the restaurant or a similar one you described in your perfect day for a leisurely brunch.
When you get home, put the literature on your spiritual altar or in your manifestation box.
Let the universe begin working to gift you this perfect day or something better.
