What is being recalled?
According to the Food and Drug Administration, the Pictsweet Company of Bells, TN, released a voluntary recall of some of their products on October 15, 2010.
What’s the problem?
It seems some glass shards have made it into several different finished products the company distributes. No injuries have been reported as of this release.
Which specific peas are involved in this recall?
The affected packages include frozen bags of vegetables that were sold nationwide in WalMart stores, as well as in Kroger stores in the southeast United States. The specific packages are:
– Kroger 12 ounce Green Peas with a UPC of 11110 89736 and Production codes of 1440BU, 1440BV, 1440BW, and 1600BD
– Kroger 12 ounce Peas and Carrots with a UPC of 11110 89741 and Production codes of 1960BD and 1960BE
– Great Value 12 Ounce Steamable Sweet Peas with a UPC of 78742 08369 and Best By Dates of July 20, 2012 or July 21, 2012
– Great Value 12 Ounce Steamable Mixed Vegetables with a UPC of 78742 08026 and a Best By Date of July 15, 2012
What do I do now?
