When your new car got scratches on the paint what do you do? Do you immediately take it to an auto body shop or try to remove them yourself? If you answer the later then I suggest you try the Quixx paint scratch remover.
This paint scratch remover kit cost about $17 and contains two different cream and four (small) pieces of sand papers (grid 3000). The amount of cream is very generous so you will be able to use them on large scratches.
So, how do you use this kit anyway?
Well, to remove fine scratches first you need to clean the scratches and the area around it. Use microfiber cloth if you got one handy but if not don’t sweat it and just try to clean it as clean as possible. After cleaning apply cream #1 and wait until the cream is completely dry. After it’s completely dry rub it with a clean cloth.
As for deep scratches you need more work to cover them up. First, buy matching paint to cover the scratch because you need to fill the missing paint removed by the scratch. Clean the area around the deep scratch. Use the sand paper to smooth the area, wipe it clean and then use the matching paint to fill the scratch. Wait until it’s completely dry and use the sand paper to remove the excess paint. Then apply cream #1, let it dry and rub it with a clean cloth. You may need to apply the cream several times for best result. If your car paint is metallic apply cream #2 to bring back the shine. If it’s matte then you don’t need this extra step.
So, after doing all those steps will the scratches really disappear?
The answer is yes and no. If it’s only minor scratches then the answer is definitely yes. This paint scratch remover can remove them completely. However for deep scratches this kit can only make them hard to see. If you know where the scratches were and if you look close enough the scratches are still visible.
The Quixx paint scratch remover can’t remove deep scratches completely but it comes pretty close. Unless you know where to look it’s going to be very hard to point where the scratch was. It’s also a far cheaper solution compared to taking your car to a body shop. Frankly, I don’t any know any auto body shop that would remove scratches for a mere $17 (that’s the price for this kit in case you missed it).
