Last week we reported on how a recent real estate sale in Boerum Hill was indicative of a resurgence in real estate in the Boerum Hill as well as the wider Downtown Brooklyn area.
Now, on the heels of news that the Andrea (a residential building at 218 Myrtle) has rented out all of its 95 units, news comes through Brownstoner that CVS pharmacy has signed a lease for the ten thousand square foot ground floor retail space.
Brownstoner reports that no details regarding the terms of the lease were reveal and also notes that the “lower level space” (we assume this means there is a basement?) remains empty. This space has reportedly been “long touted as a grocery location.”
Apparently the grocers aren’t buying into the touting.
The near 100% occupancy would seem to speak well of the real estate market in Downtown however, and so it should be only a matter of time before the remaining retail space is rented.
